Get Healthy Water in Your Entire Home High Capacity, High Flow 6-Stage Whole House Water Filtration System Top-Seller-Image.jpg 10 Year Capacity Guarantee

The media in the tank will last 10 years before it needs replacement.  Compare that to 3-5 years for most other systems.

Six-Month Satisfaction Guarantee In a recent survey, 100% of customers said they would recommend the X-1000 to a friend.  100%!  Even we were pleasantly surprised.

1 Million Gallons of Filtration What are the unsurpassed features of the PurHome X-1000? The filtration design is like no other.  We utilize the Vortech® tank that lifts the media off the bottom of the tank to maintain high flow rates.  In addition, it evenly disburses the water through the media for maximum contact time and maximum filtration.  And, because we use an upflow design, the water flows upward which also prevents the possibility of water channeling and prevents filter media from packing.

Compare the PurHome X-1000 to the competition: chart-header.jpgleft-arrow.png

In addition to the Vortech® tank and upflow design, The X-1000 features the following 6 stages of filtration:   Cutaway_PurHomeX1000New.png

1. Sediment Filter.  Pleated design provides longer life than standard sediment filter, 5 micron and washable

2. Garnet.  Internal sediment filter and gravel support bed. Helps more evenly disburse water and maintain high flow rates.

3. NSF Certified KDF-55.  Filters chlorine, lead and other metals and inhibits bacteria growth

4. NSF Certified Bituminous Carbon.  Filters chlorine and light VOCs

5. NSF Certified Coconut Shell Carbon.  Filters heavier VOCs

6. NSF Certified Carbonsorb Catalytic Carbon.  Filters chloramines and chlorine by-products like THMs and HAA5s

Q: Does the PurHome X-1000 require electricity? A: NO.

Q: Does the PurHome X-1000 need to be backwashed? A: No, the PurHome X-1000 incorporates an up-flow design eliminating the need for backwash, saving water. The PurHome X-1000 is truly an Environmentally Friendly product.

Q: How easy is it to install the PurHome X-1000? Q: What is the cost to replace the media inside the PurHome after 10 years of 1,000,000 gallons? A: The current cost to replace the media for the PurHome X-1000 is $599.00 including free shipping.

Q: How can the PurHome X-1000 last  for  10 years? A. We use a media called KDF55 in the second stage of this system that is designed to remove chlorine and heavy metals and prolongs the life of carbon by 300%. KDF55 is bacteria inhibiting which means bacteria cannot grow in its presence. The PurHome X-1000 also incorporates three different types of carbon based media’s which focus on Chloramines and VOC removal. This filtering combination provides long lasting filtration.

Q: What is KDF55 media? A: KDF55 is an electrostatic media specifically designed to remove chlorine and heavy metals. Using KDF55 with carbon eliminates the need for backwashing saving water and electricity. KDF55 is an NSF (National Science Foundation) certified water filtration media that is used in Hospitals, Restaurants, Municipal Water Treatment Facilities, and Homes across the United States.

Q: How do I know when the media inside the tank needs replacing? A: Chlorine/Chloramine breaking through is a good indicator to gauge the systems performance and we are happy to provide chlorine/chloramine test strips upon request. The rule of thumb is if chlorine is breaking through so are other contaminates.

Q: Will the PurHome X-1000 remove Fluoride?

A: No, the PurHome X-1000 is not designed to remove Fluoride; however the KDF55 media used in this system has shown a reduction of about 60% however that is not high enough to make removal claims. To completely remove the Fluoride we recommend a nano type of filtration. Fluoride is not harmful when bathing and therefore removing it from the drinking only is the most popular method of treatment. For “super purified” water removing virtually every organic and inorganic contaminant including the Fluoride, we recommend our Hydrotech Push Button monitoring reverse osmosis system under your kitchen sink. This is commonly paired when using a whole house specialized treatment system. We use a high quality one-piece manifold system and it comes with a water quality monitor. You will find information at this link:

  1. OMG I love it

    Its really awesome

  2. Odor-free water

Posted by John F. on 29th Dec 2011

We have city water that always tasted good and met the government standards for safety. Periodically we did notice a strong Chlorine like smell however. Knowing that Chlorine plays havoc with skin and hair, my wife and I decided to purchase this system. I installed the PurHome X 1000 Hi Capacity Whole House Water Filter little over a month ago and have definitely noticed total elimination of all odor. With plumbing experience, installation was straight-forward and the components seem to be well made of high quality materials. Most importantly, the water is crystal clear and seems to be helping my dry skin and my wife's hair.

  3. Pure water...no hassle

Posted by Unknown on 23rd Jun 2011

Since installing the system several months ago I have been drinking more water and with the knowledge that it is pure and free of harmful chemicals. The drinking water taste better and negates the purchase of buying and dragging water bottles home.

One of the best improvements I have made for my home since purchasing my home three years ago. I Would recommend this product to anyone who is concerned about the quality of their drinking water and want a better alternate to buying bottled water.

  4. Finally, good coffee

Posted by Unknown on 23rd Jun 2011

We installed the X-1000 several month ago after rave reviews from several neighbors. Looking at the prefilter after 3 months of use we were amazed at of the amount of grit and silt that was in our water supply leading us to believe that there must be other "things" in our water that we wanted to avoid.

Our water tastes better, the coffee tastes better and the ice cubes are Crystal clear. We highly recommend the X-1000 and only wish we had installed it sooner.

  5. complete water security

Posted by Irish Farms on 17th Jun 2011

Our "city water" comes from a large lake and is thoroughly treated before it gets to us. The chlorine was very hard on my husband's dry skin. It is a blessing to have pure, clean water from every tap, his skin problems have disappeared, and I have wonderful water to use in my greenhouse too. The taste and clarity is wonderful! No more bottled water for us!
